I used to live there, decendant of fourth generation of occupants that have lived there. The property, to my knowledge, is approx 200 years old. It used to be a pub and a saw mill. It was owned by the Adams family, hence the name Adams Bottom. It was called this due to being in a hollow and lived in by the Adams family. The pub was called the first and last.
