Where can we find a student pad to buy as an investment?

We are looking to buy a student flat/pad for investment. We were told there are private halls that are selling such pads. Any info regarding this?

  • I run a property management company looking after several houses in Liverpool and throughout the UK. Occasionally we have properties offered to us for sale as we have a track record of successfully passing these on to investors. This assists sellers who are otherwise struggling in this market and also creates the opportunity for successful investments. We currently have a property owner wishing to sell in Hampstead Road, Fairfield L6 (4 bed house in great condition) at under £95k. Contact me for more details.

  • Penny Lane, Smithdown Road, Allerton Road areas. There are purpose built blocks around the city, but I would have thought these would have been wholly owned and run by a single organisation. Don't be tempted to buy a flat in a non purpose block - either it will be against the terms for multiple occupancy, or at the least you'll end up getting sued by leaseholders and managing agents when your tenants start making noise etc (and they will!), you'll end up out of pocket and worst case scenario in forfeiture of your lease. Liverpool is getting more and more organised in this respect so buy wisely.
