What are the pros and cons of living here? Are the people friendly?

Livingston in my opinion is very much a shopping town, based around a huge shopping centre offering all the high street brand names. A newly rebuilt complex has just been added which is an impressive modern building, and also there is the designer outlet, both have lots of restaurants, cinema, gym etc. Livingston people I would say to be fair are ok, but there is a mix, you'll meet ultra friendly people one day then the next minute you'll bump into someone really grumpy, sometimes everyone seems grumpy, like if it's raining outside Livingston people seem to make a big deal about that. It's a funny little town, sometimes I wonder what Livingstonians are all about, it's like everyone is always rushing around, but to go where? It's pointless. On the whole it's allright I guess, keep yourself to yourself and stay chilled out.

The people are very friendly, we moved here from Edinburgh and it was like night and day....even the shop assitants smile and actually communicate cheerfully with you (unlike Edinburgh)...I guess it would depend on where in Livingston you were to stay (just like any big town) it h as its good and bad..but on the whole very quiet (at least where I stay). What i really like about it, is that its so clean and very green...
