What's it like to live in Balham?

How does it compare to the areas around? Is there much greenery in the area?

  Great. It has quite villagey feel even thought it is well connected by train and tube. It is fairly green with three major parks within 10 minutes - Tooting Bec Common is great in summer as you can pop to the Lido before lounging in the sun.. Wandsworth common is good for a winter's walk as there area few nice pubs and bars, and last but not least Clapham Common is very social - also near the Picture House so good for a sunday afternoon stroll.
