What's it like to live in Crystal Palace?

How does it compare to the areas around? Is there much greenery in the area?

  • There's lots of greenery - the Palace Park, South Norwood Lakes, lots of other SE London Parks within short distance - Dulwich for example. Good connections on the ginger line, and also some decent retro / midcentry furniture shops. Quite a village feel, some decent places to eat. Its a good place for people in the 30s-40s to live I feel.

  • Such a great place to live, whatever your age. Loads of lovely pubs, bars and restaurants, great atmosphere whether you're up for daytime drinking and socialising or nights out. Some quirky little shops which give the place more a village feel and identity, really something for everyone. The park is fantastic, as are the transport links. Also, people who live here really seem proud to live here- I am!

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.

  • Or Peter, why not get on the train one weekend and go and have a wander around and see if you like it? No need to get the EAs involved just to find out about an area - they are clueless enough about selling houses, let alone asking them to comment on anything more than that.
