What's it like to live in Hammersmith?

Is there much greenery in the area? How does it compare to the areas around?

  I lived right off Kings Road in Hammersmith when first moving to London, lots of good pubs around and King Street had good shopping with cheap bargains at Primark and a TK Maxx just the street. Transport was great with three different tube lines so close and heaps of buses around. Only real downside was traffic was pretty bad sometimes and it was a bit of a walk to get to a park.
