What kind of people live around here? Is it a safe area?

I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are, this will also give you a guide to house prices and movement of the market within the area. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area.

Very nice a bit like for Queen's park but less posh I would say, high road very lively at night with lore restaurants and bars. Quite nice street around the station a bit less nice when you go south and approach Kensal green. Transport a bit of an issue as you've got only the Overground and no Bakerloo line. But very nice neighborroud not too expensive yet.
