What's it like to live in New Cross Gate?

How does it compare to the areas around? What are the pros and cons of living here?

  • An up and coming part of South East London not the best area but there are worse! It has easy transport links and is easy to get to central london with cheaper rentals and sales than parts nearer to the centre.

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.

  • Easygoing - people are friendly but not intrusive. Very safe (even for a single woman walking late at night) because there's always plenty of people/cars around. Green and unpretentious with good nightlife, cafe culture, great transport links & plenty of free parking. Two supermarkets; Goldsmiths University; easy access to shops in Lewisham, Greenwich, Canary Wharf and the West End. Excellent schools for the young multicultural population.
