I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are, this will also give you a guide to house prices and movement of the market within the area. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area.

Queen's Park area is very young family orientated, so all around the park and the main street (salusbury) it is vey safe. If you goes more south on W9 side it's ok too maybe a bit less nice around carlton vale, as you've got lot of estates and housing tower. But overall is is a great atmosphere with some nice pubs, cafe and brasserie. Lot of people at the week-end with the farmer market.
