What's it like to live in West Hampstead?
Is there much greenery in the area? What are the pros and cons of living here?

My partner & I love WH. Main reason is the village feel you get. It's close proximity to Hampstead, Camden Town, and the fact it's only a 50 minute walk to Oxford street (if you feel like it). Property is overvalued though with a 3 bed with garden costing 450-600k. A lot of West Hampsteaders move to St. Albans when they want to move up the ladder but the catch 22 has been that this has caused property prices in St. Albans to steeply rise. Overall, WH is a safe, friendly and very well connected part of London with lots to offer.

West Hampstead is great from a location perspective thanks to the abundant rail and underground connections, its proximity to Hampstead and the Heath. If you are looking for greenery, there are a number of parks and the streets have trees. West Hampstead has some nice flats and houses and a gem to consider if you value ample space are the BAM estates around Cannon Hill/West End Lane. The high-street has its charms and is perhaps not as charming as Hampstead proper.
