For me, a property close to transport links and in particular a Train Station with direct routes to major cities or Tram stops. Look for some large major emplyers to, company lets can be great if you have purchased a top end investment. Close to some Hospitals can be good to and If you want house shares, you could look at property close to a university. We find semi detached houses with three bedrooms are easy to rent out in Cheadle Hulme and Stockport as we have Trains Stations, manchester Airport, great motorway network links, two NHS hospitals close by and some key names in employment!

The key thing you need to look for is demand - there must be a good demand for the property which you are buying. That means buying close to good transport links, good schools, town centre etc. The key thing is to think about the type of tenant you are trying to attract and do more market research on that segment. Research is king to ensure you make a good investment purchase
