What makes a property a good 'buy to let' investment? Are the size and the location the 2 most important aspects?
Looking to buy a property in Deptford, South East London with the aim to rent it out. How can I decide which exact area within Deptford would be better/safer & would therefore generate a higher rental amount?

There are many aspects to take into account when considering a "buy to let" property. The location is very important but, so is the size of room(s), the layout, general condition of the property, light and air coming into the property, other properties on the street and the development, the general condition of the neighbourhood, transport links are all factors to consider when buying a buy to let property. It is also suggested to speak to local Estate Agents to have an estimate rental income for the property also.
