What's it like to live in Maldon?

How does it compare to the areas around? Is it a safe area?

  • A totally friendly, relaxed area. A town on a hill next to a big natural waterside with saltings. Many many beautiful lakes, rivers and walks. A town with history, a main estuary and old London Barges at the quayside. Great for crabbing with the kids. Lots of fun places; splashpark, bowling, swimming, football, and several new play areas. Great shopping from small victorian types to large supermarkets. The stations are only 5/10 mins away in 3 directions! Food is fantastic; Greek, Italians, Thai, Chineses, Indians, And fish and chip shops of course. Quite bohemian in places. Lovely countryside and a few museums aswell...It's as old as Colchester, without the size...aren't we lucky :-)
