Footing the bill for a broken chain

Hi all. I have a question for any knowledgeable people. Im currently in the middle of a chain due to complete in 2 weeks and recieved a call from the estate agents yesterday about the house thats at the top of the chain. Our house is ready the house were buying is ready but the house there buying has come up with land boundarie issue. When they went to look at house they were told land is included with sale it now turns out its not and when solicitors investigated it turns out the land isnt even registered. Now I have been asked if I want to pull out or wait and as I want there house ill wait but also want to complete on ours so will have to find alternative accommodation and pay 210 pounds a month storage fees till it a. Either gets soughted and they buy the house or b. They find a new house. Either way probably a long time. Is there anything I can do as dont think its fair i should have tofoot the bill for someone elses fault. This should have been realised weeks ago. Many thanks.
