UK property lets per annum?
How many properties are let within the private rented sector each year. If there are 3.5 million private rented properties and the average tenancy is 20 months, any ideas how many lets per annum this equates to? I am trying to gauge the UK market size.

The AST tenancy agreement is renewed every 6 months or 12 as standard. So there will be 3.5 million lets per year

No, if the average is 20 months, the annual NEW lets (not renewals) are 3.5million x 12/20 = 2.1million. But surely you could have worked that out.. Am I missing something.
