Problem with mine shafts within 20 mtrs of boundary?

I'm thinking of buying the boundary, it is within 20 mtrs of four mine shafts that have been filled in and capped. The house was built in 1950 and the mine shafts are from 1944, but were filled in, in 1968 and treated in 1984.

  • Please don't bother, I bought a house with a mine vent shaft within 20 metres and when I came to sell it, the agents told buyers that there was a mine shaft there. It cost me £4500 for in-depth mining searches and structural engineers to check it out and they could not pin point where the vent shaft was so had to let house go for £30,000 less than asking price of £105,000. We were not told at the time of buying in 1996.
