Do you need a guarantor?

I'm struggling to find a guarantor for myself for a private rented house, every estate agents I have been to is asking for one. Is there anyone who you don't have to have one?

  • Hi. I don't know your full situation, but I can suggest you try private renters who don't go through a rental agents. You can find properties to rent in papers like Loot, try Gumtree and free as sites. Do be very careful though, some private landlords aren't the best. Just make sure you know your rights and stay safe.

  • Private landlords from small ads are sometimes more flexible. If not try independent letting agents.
