I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website for that area which gives you an up to date overview of the area.

Good amenities...having said that it depends what you are coming from. It's a small market town. Has Wednesday and Saturday markets down centre of high street all year around. Has Jazz Festival in July where whole town gets involved, Victorian evening, Christmas lights turn on with late night shopping, theatre evenings at St Johns School - they also have films on. Marlborough Mop first Saturday before 11th October and after 11th October every year where whole high street is closed. Marlborough college at end of high street tends to bring in higher end market spending in town. Shops tend to reflect this - mostly individual non-chain shops although over the last few years a few have now entered the town. Town now has second super market - Tesco as Waitrose was only supermarket in high street. Tesco just on edge of town opened this year. No garage in town for fuel. Crime low - lovely place to live if you can afford it. I believe that the majority of home owners in Marlborough are over a certain age because the younger generation can't afford it. Beautiful countryside around the town and regular bus route. Good public school which now has linked with college.

We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area.
You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page.
We hope this helps.
