There are a number of ways that you can go about finding when your property was built.
The easiest method is by using the date which was recorded for the first transfer or lease by the developer - of course, this depends on whether the building was sold by the company that constructed it.
If it was not then you can consult the mortgage survey as this might have details about the property's age, while you can also try getting in touch with your local authority to find out when planning permission was originally granted.
Failing that, try asking your neighbours if they know when their home was built - if they are very similar properties then the chances are they were constructed at the same time.
For older homes, you could do a little bit of guesswork by looking at the architectural style and features - such as the roof and position of the windows. You can then cross-reference this against tips from the Valuation Office Agency for predicting your property's age.
I hope that helps

So, to find out how old your property is I would firstly, check the property deeds for more information about when the house was constructed.
Do you have a mortgage? If you do, your survey may say how old the property is.
