What's it like to live in Newark?
Is it a safe area? How does it compare to the areas around?

Newark is a lovely old market town, stalls open 4 days a week. Boasts of many antique shops and is home to Europe's largest antique and collectors fair which takes place 3 times a year on the local show ground. Newark has historical links with the civil war, there are buildings still standing from this era. The hospital is very inadequate which means Newark folk requiring treatment are sent to hospitals outside Newark. As with most towns, "inner town" shops are affected by larger stores opening on the outskirts of the town and cities. The regular trains service takes under 2 hours to London. The A.1 motorway is easily accessible. A multicultural, peaceful town with a comparitive low crime rate. like most towns/cities there are good areas and not so good. On the whole Newark is a lovely town.
