Best place to invest in the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne area?

Looking to invest in residential property in Newcastle, would like to know best place to look.

  • Look for areas which are going through regeneration, where property can be purchased cheaply whilst the area receives government funding. Secondly, look for areas with good transport infrastructure, educational facilities, places of interest and commercial strength.

  • Hmm... I would tend to disagree with the above - although it depends entirely upon what you want from your investment. Investment is a risk. Why DOUBLE the risk by investing in an untried place where things MAY or MAY NOT improve? Go for the tried and trusted locations. They very rarely let you down - although the returns may not be as fruitful backing the favourite as if you put your shirt on a rank outsider.

  • I would stick to the steady area's Gosforth and Jesmond have always been a safe place to invest.
