Newquay is a great place to live Matt. It gets very busy in the summer. Many of the housing stock has great sea views. Prices are reasonable. You can buy 1 bed flats for around £100k, 3 bed semi's for £160k and on and on.

I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or police.gov to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.
