Would you live on Richmond Road?

We are considering buying a house on Richmond Road in Norwich and we have been slightly put off by 2 things - 1) the police.co.uk crime statistics of 4 violent crimes in the immediate area in February and 2 in January. 2) The fact that there is a high number of council owned/housing association homes on the road (according to Upmystreet) which suggests it will be difficult to sell here in the future should we decide to move, which is quite likely given my job as a doctor. My question is to those of you who know Norwich better than I do, is this information accurate and reason enough to reconsider? Thanks

  • I live on Richmond Road. I myself have had no problems (lived here five years). Many of the council houses have been bought (mine is one of them, bought by previous owners) and the housing association properties are back from the road mostly in a small 'estate' near to the school end (my partner lives in one). Generally we don't bite around here. :) I am about to sell my property (buyer confirmed) so, it is possible to sell here.
