Can I drive down the price of a property?

I want a property to be much cheaper than asking price, how do I achieve this? It has been on market for a few months, how to make price cheaper please?

  • The art is to offer low, but not too low as you might offend .. sit down face to fasce with agent, and ask some questions ..

  • It is the owner who will decide the price ultimately and this could be the price you are willing to pay - whether it be after a few days of marketing or a few months! The worst you will get by offering is the answer "No" and the best is "Yes" either way potentially nothing to loose by offering and you may be given a figure they would accept which is close to your top line price. You could sit down with the agent, but to be honest if they are doing their job correctly they should be trying to acheive the best price for the vendor and NOT the best deal for you. ultimately a decent agent will just say to you "offer what you want to pay or think its worth and go from there" Hope this helps, just my opinion!! Good luck So give it a go and don't get if you don't ask!
