Food quality of life, little crime compared to cities though it has increased in recent years. For 10,000 population, shopping very respectable with Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Co-op, Farmfoods, Argos and Homebase all accessible on foot from town centre. Seafood capital of Scotland with several top class restaurants and a proliferation of good coffee shops, not a high wage economy with liitle or no industry or hi tech employment. Tourism is the biggest employer as fishing industry sadly declined in recent years, decent schools and friendly locals.
