What's it like to live in Orkney?

Is it a safe area? Is there much greenery in the area?

  It's a very safe place, so much so we never lock our doors even when going out. It's a very green and the heather is beautiful when it comes out. Due to Orkney not having many trees you can see for miles and miles especially across the sea to the other islands. Beautiful sunsets and during the summer it rarely gets dark. Wonderful full moons later in the year shining across the sea and if you are lucky you get to see the Northern Lights,
