What is Swanscombe like?

Hello I lived in Swanscombe from the age of three until 19 when I joined the RAF. My wife is also from Swanscombe. What is it like? Well now, not so good. The links to London, the coast and Europe are good, and housing is fairly cheap compared to surrounding areas. This however unfortunately allows lots of buy to let investors to come in, buy a place on the cheap and get it let out. My parents and my wife's nan still live there and there are some good people. It is fairly safe too. The new estates on the outskirts are nice though. I rarely go back now, and when I do, I do not miss it. Perhaps living in the nice areas the RAF give you has made me a bit of a snob, but there is no excuse for litter and dog mess to be left everywhere. It may change soon so fingers crossed.
