What's it like to live in Oxted?

Are the people friendly? What are the pros and cons of living here?

  I have lived there for 12 years now, ever since we moved out of London to have kids (mine are 10 and 12 now). It is very nice - good schooling, a small but reasonable range of shops in the town. One largish supermarket (Morrisons) and three smaller ones (Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Co-op). There is a sizeable swimmingpool/leisure complex and even a small cinema. It is a commuter town really, but there is a good social life for young families at least. Good transport links into London Bridge & Victoria. plenty of clubs activities for the kids.
