What's it like to live in Peterborough?

    Hi there Peterborough is great! Nice weather, nice people, not a lot happens really. It is quite safe to live here, though if you listen to the locals you wouldn't think so. The city is extremely green, both in an environmental sense and in a botany sense - there's more trees in the city than I think I've ever seen in a similarly-sized city! Peterborough is excellent if you want to work hard, keep yourself to yourself and bring your kids up in peace. It's also an ace place to commute to London from (this is what I do). Nightlife is reasonable, great if you like live music and real ale, there's plenty of both in the pubs in the centre. There's a massive John Lewis here too, to do all your shopping. The only bad parts are the shopping for clothes (according to my wife, anyway!), and a couple of areas of the centre are a bit scruffy. Otherwise, Peterborough's great! A satisfied exiled-Scouser
