What's it like to live in Rossendale?
Is it a safe area?

I moved to Rossendale in May of 2010 and live in the center which is a town called Rawtenstall. Its not a bad town at all, its semi rural and its a lovely looking town and theres any trouble, the only downsides are the shops, sure you have a few in town but nothing special. I travel to Blackburn or Accrington, depending on what I want and for Clothes its easy access to Manchester so really as longs as you have a car its not really a problem.
I have lived all over, Burton On Trent, Uttoxeter, Blackpool, Mojacar in Spain, Great Harwood and now here and I dont plan on moving any time soon.
Its a quiet town and no hustle and bustle like you get in larger towns its lovely.

I have lived in Rossendale for 25 years and although local wages are low in the area it is within easy access of all the main motorways, so if you are prepared to travel 20 miles you can work in any of the main towns or even Manchester. I have stayed in work as a self employed person, travelling where required and been able to relax in a rural setting with a local village atmosphere.

We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area.
You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page.
We hope this helps.
