What's it like to live in Rossendale?

Is it a safe area? What are the pros and cons of living here?

    I moved to Rossendale in May of 2010 and live in the center which is a town called Rawtenstall. Its not a bad town at all, its semi rural and its a lovely looking town and theres any trouble, the only downsides are the shops, sure you have a few in town but nothing special. I travel to Blackburn or Accrington, depending on what I want and for Clothes its easy access to Manchester so really as longs as you have a car its not really a problem. I have lived all over, Burton On Trent, Uttoxeter, Blackpool, Mojacar in Spain, Great Harwood and now here and I dont plan on moving any time soon. Its a quiet town and no hustle and bustle like you get in larger towns its lovely.

    Lived here all my life going and gone downhill very fast if you want a job forget it unless you want to work in one of 4 large supermarkets in asq mile thats it used to be a thriving place for shops and large manufacturing area for shoes the council has made a real mess !!!
