Avoid it if you have small children, schools in rugby are over subscribed and you'll get "stuck" with the catchment area schools which are awful.

Although it is considered the 'rough' area of Rugby (due to a checkered history of social problems) this is an impression only reasonably attributed to the Northern part of the area, and having lived in 'the good part' (South of the shops) I can assure you it is a tranquil and likeable area as any in smalltown English suburbia. Good neighbours, no security issues etc but as with the other answer we moved for access to good primary schools. If this isn't an issue for you some nice properties are available at a significant haircut from other Rugby property prices.

I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or police.gov to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.
