What's it like to live in Rugeley?
Is it an area on the up? How does it compare to the areas around?

Rugeley is not a bad place to live for cheap good housing. WS15 is the towns postal code. It covers nice villages of Armitage, Abbotts Bromley, Slitting Mill Etc. The town centre is a run down former mining town with a larger than average number of charity shops and fast food outlets, betting shops, and card shops. All the decent shops have closed and gone now. If you are sensible you can buy a decent home for not much money on the outskirts of the town in Brereton, on the former power station site, or Slitting Mill or Etching Hill. Avoid the Peartree and the Springfields. Which are the former mining estates. The town has a fairly large trading estate on Power Station Road. Two premises give cause for concern however with the unpleasant smells that eminate from there. The first being a company that buys and sell dead cattle and horses and leaves the rotting carcasses in a pit. The other being a factory that manufactures pork products. Namely scratching and other undesirable things. The two companies are close by each other but not related (I hope).
