If a house is sold STC

There is a house that I have fallen in love with and really want it, it is sold STC, can I still make an offer, or have I lost my dream home, what can I do?

  • Sold STC means that the sale is going through the solicitors so unless it fails to complete then you have unfortunately missed out on this property. It is worth keeping an eye on it thought, just in case it comes back onto the market.

  • Prior to exchange of contracts the selling agent has a legal obligation to pass on all offers, in writing, to the seller. So yes, you can make an offer and the agent must communicate it to the owner. BAD advice Martin & Co!
