How does it compare to the areas around? What are the local amenities like?

  • I love living in Sandy. Its a very pretty, friendly small town where the locals have come together to try to improve it further. It has fairly good amenities and very good schools, and close by Potton is a lovely village with a great gastro pub. Only 10 miles from Bedford which is a bustling town with great parks and the river. This part of Bedfordshire is cheaper than nearby Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire so houses are great value too.

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.

  • Sandy is brilliant. A real family town with country paths, bridal ways, RSPB, fishing lakes, forest and a new county walk is being created around the whole of Sandy connecting everything together. Schools are great and people very friendly too. We now have a new supermarket too. So pleased we moved here. 5* area.
