What kind of people live around here? What are the local amenities like?

  Quite good. Good schools, train station direct to London, Leeds, Manchester, Hull and York. 45 mins from the Dales. 1 Hr from the coast. Flat as a pancake

  I live outside of Selby in a small village. Yes it's great outside of Selby itself. However there are areas in Selby I would not want to live due to crime, drug users etc. There are better areas look into the countryside around Selby. Unless you have a job, job's are hard to come by. With my work I see alot of young mums who are single wanting to earn extra money. York is a good area to look at living also.
