What is the council tax for Shaftesbury, Dorset?

The council tax charge you pay will differ from street to street and even in some cases from property. It is worked out from the value (as of 1991) of each individual property as opposed to geographical areas.
If you know the postcode for the property you are referring to in particular, you can check the tax band on the Valuations Office Agency (VOA) website. I have provided a link at the bottom of this page that you can use to search this.
Once you have used the site to ascertain which tax band the property falls under, you should then be able to use the website of Dorset County Council, and its council tax section, to see a breakdown of what your tax band is charged in Shaftesbury in particular.
