Can you advise what happens with a joint tenancy agreement if one partner leaves?

  • I do not know the specific of your question e.g. do you want to know what would happen to your obligation to pay rent or terminate the tenancy if one party leaves? Generally speaking, in a joint tenancy situation either party are jointly and severally liable. Therefore you will still be liable to fulfill the tenancy conditions such as rent payments, etc. Any breach can be fully enforceable against the remaining party in the joint tenancy arrangement.
