Why is the postcode of B93 so expensive?

Dorridge and Knowle appear to be very expensive and although prices have come down a little, the area still appears to be priced more in line with south east prices than west midlands.

    I suppose because it's commuter belt - nice village environment, good school and surrounded by pretty countryside but still within easy reach of the local metropolis.

    You can be in B'ham centre in 12 mins on train London in 90mins yet virtually live in the country !!!!!!!!!!
