Rural, semi rural or city? What is the best option and do you pay more for rural and semi rural?

It depends on the area/city. A city like London, house prices are high. Rural properties come at a premium, usually a greater premium than semi-rural. It will all depend on which area you are looking at.

As usual wherever it is, nice locations make nice money, rural locations within easy reach of the Capital are at a premium and are similar to London prices, on the other hand I've been to the lovely Ross on Wye near Wales and saw a lovely 4 bedroom detached, located on a hill with stunning views for just £185,000 !!!.......Ok if you're retired etc..........IMO.
