Yes, Aveley is a nice place to live, Aveley itself is a quiet area, until the children from Ormiston Park Academy arrive and leave from school lol! The people who live in Aveley are predominantly white although there are now other ethnicities arriving in the area in small numbers.
The people who live in aveley are friendly enough and if you just want to keep yourself to yourself then no one will bother you.
There is alot of greenery around aveley, for dog walking or strolls, including a golf course and leisure centre.
Local shops are Londis, Chinese Chippy, Post Office, Petrol Garage, Somerfield, Bakery, DIY shop, double glaziers, vets, nail and tanning bar, estate agents, restaurant and pubs, barbers and hairdressers, funeral directors, car mechanics and tyre fitters, off licenses, florists and doctors surgerys.
The air around here is clean as there isnt alot of traffic, thank god, most of the property is house type, with a small mix of flats/maisonettes.
Crime is relatively low, although motor related crime tends to be higher than average. This tends to be motor vehicles being stolen from other areas and dumped in and around aveley due to its quiet nature and ease of car thiefs escaping down country lanes and into greenery.
All said Ive lived in Aveley for over 7 years and like it, I havent noticed any radical changes in the area, although various developments have been put to the public, these have failed in winning public support and consequently failed the approval stage.
Although Aveley is a quiet area and has lots of fresh air and green land, I think Aveley could benefit from further investment and could give rise to opportunities for more work, better transport links without compromising the qualities aveley has.
Im glad I moved to aveley, and would think twice before moving out of this area.
