  • We live in the Birkdale area of Southport, the village is lovely, there is a victorian style pageant every year and the shopkeepers dress to that era. There is the annual flower show, air show, Woodvale Rally and annual international fireworks competition, Southport Lord Street is a lovely victorian shopping street and most weekends there is live music ie, battle of the bands competitions outside of the Town Hall, Southport has Splash World, the pier, Botanic Gardens, Hesketh Park and the fun fair and bicycles can be hired to explore all of the attractions, there is also a vibrant night life, I would reccomend Southport to young and old alike. Oh, and the property prices are very attractive.

  • We recently relocated to Southport, (we used to holiday here and fell in love with the place) right opposite the marine lake, and we absolutely love it! Southport is a lovely Victorian seaside town with so much to offer and even better when the sun shines. The people here are really nice, they always seem relaxed and friendly. Lord Street is fantastic for shopping with the most gorgeous tree lined street that is all lit up at night. Lovely huge flat beach (but no paddling as the sea is too far out!!!) unless you're up for a real long walk to dip those toes!! I defy anyone who lives/moves here not to be impressed with this great place. Great for young and old alike. Good train links to Liverpool, Manchester, etc. We looked at many places to relocate to, and decided Southport was the one for us due to its pretty places and more to offer than other local places.

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.
