What's it like to live in St. Neots?
What kind of people live around here?
Is it an area on the up?

I think St. Neots has been a depressed area for a long time but definitely has the potential to become a great place to live. The national housebuilders have built so many thousands of new dwellings in and around the town and attracted lots of new people to the town in the last 5-10 years. The town centre is actually quite good as it has a Marks & Spencers supermarket, Waitrose, a large Co-op, a department store, several coffee bar chains and clothing retailers as well as a lovely market square. The riverside area is great and you're on the A1 so can get just about anywhere very quickly. If you commute, the train service to London is excellent, if overcrowded. The secondary schooling situation in St. Neots is currently a bit iffy I believe but there are plans taking shape to sort that out.

After the Crash in property there is a huge over supply and prices just off all time low. It was a builders dream 7-8 years ago. But we know what happened to that idea. Not a place to move to, unless for work. You get a lot for your money as its depressed, compared to a lot of areas.

We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page.
We hope this helps.
