I bought a house in a not so good area not knowing, should I finish doing it up or sell now?

I bought a house in Burslem, Stoke on Trent last May, the area is becoming rundown and I want to sell. I've spent money on new windows and heating, do I keep spending or sell it now?

  • Tricky one, I would assume getting a local agent in is best so you can find out if you can sell as is. Best not chase good money after bad.

  • Why not just get it to a point where you can rent it out the income should at least pay your mortgage and insurance? I have 3 properties rented through Northwood uk and I get my rent wether the house is occupied or not
