Where to buy in Stoke-on-Trent?

I currently live in Cheshire and have lived in South Manchester, but I will be teaching in Sneyd Green and ideally want a 10-15 minute commute as I already do a 70 hour week! I will likely be avoiding rush hour as I intend to be in work for 7.00-7.30. I will commute from my current home until I buy somewhere but that is 40 mins+ and not feasible long term. I would like a 3 bed/2 reception semi ideally in a reasonable area. My budget is £120,000, which seems realistic looking on various property website. I want to avoid the catchment area so I don't want Sneyd Green itself. Which areas do people suggest? I assume I want to be north of the city centre to minimise the traffic. I'm fine with ex-L.A. so long as the neighbours are okay and everyone seems lovely in Stoke! I don't like the idea of buying at auction. Thanks all!
