How do I find out who my mortgage is with?

My ex wife has lived in my house for 3 years, I want to find out who the mortgage is with now as the house is still mine.

  • The quick and easy way is to visit the land registry website and search the title deeds. You have to pay a couple of quid but you will get the deeds back with the mortgage lender on it . Hope this helps

  • As long as the property is registered then you will be able to obtain a copy of the title deeds from your local Land Registry office. They cost £4 and will clearly show which Bank or Building society has an interest in the property. This information is not available online unless you are a subscriber to the Land Registry Portal.
