An unspoilt market town friendly and unique with an old pump room art deco cinema, a library and swimming pool, lots of individual shops on the banks of the river Teme, with a wonderful cottage hospital - all this set in undulating gentle countryside. Ludlow, Worcester and Hereford are within easy distance, but the villages, houses, orchards and old farms seem miles away from any hustle and bustle. The schools have excellent reputations, some villages have a school bus but otherwise a car is a necessity. Work opportunities are few. Overall people are of two kinds, the families that have lived here generations, and the ones who came and fell in love with it's old fashioned ways and stayed. People are happy here. - if you like the bright lights this is not the place. However there is lot's to do, from rambling clubs, art and history groups to volunteering at our community run cinema with the latest films, you can be as busy or quiet as you wish to be. Actually we try to keep quiet about Tenbury, as we know it's a special place!

I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or police.gov to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website for that area which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.
