Will a solar farm planned to be in front of my bungalow Affect it's value

  • Hi David, Solar farms are still something that is hard to judge with regards to the value and the way it affects property prices, and there will be equally as many people will tell you that it affects your valuation as say it wouldn't. It all comes down to aesthetics really, which is the main problem that many people have with the installation of farms, and it really depends on whether you would want to live in a place that has them or not. As they become more and more common in the future though, with the UK having carbon obligations to meet and a need to replace coal-fired power stations with newer renewable options, my personal opinion would be that they will have even less of an effect on property prices because people will be used to seeing them around.
