How to find out which are new builds in a street?

  • Other than the obvious - looking at them - you could pay £4 at the Land Registry (per house) to see when title was first established.

  • I agree with the previous answer to your question. In addition, the vast majority of new-build properties (certainly those built by reputable developers) come with a 10 year NHBC certificate. This immediately indicates that the property has been recently built. However I think you'll only glean this information if the property is actually up for sale. Asking local residents and neighbours should also be a good way of establishing which are new-build properties and which aren't.
