Is it worth an overnight stop in Leeds if we're driving through that part of the country?

I'm driving through the area and could stop here overnight but is there much to see/do? Nice B&B's or hotels anyone can recommend?

  • Leeds city centre has some quite nice shopping and the Royal Armouries are very impressive and well worth a look. If you're staying overnight then there are lots of restaurants in the area ranging from cheap and cheerful (it's a student city!) to luxuriously expensive (it's also "Little London") so you're sure to find something that will fit the bill, plus there's plenty of bars and clubs around if you want to move on elsewhere.

  • I would definitily recommend stopping over for the night, was there about 12 months ago and the museum was awesome. We stayed in the Brookfield Hotel which was nice and close to the city centre (and cheap from what I remember) and the nightlife was great.. might be worth a late checkout if you want to make the most of it :)
