What's it like to live in Otley?

Is it an area on the up? Is there much greenery in the area?

  • Otley is an established town with easy access to it's rural surroundings which offer excellent walks etc. See Otley Chevin... The town itself is small and has plenty of character stone properties. There are quite a few restaurants, lot of pubs and one or two more modern cafes and bars. It's one for those who can't afford perhaps Ilkley, with a similar vibe and good commuting to Leeds if you want to live in the country but work in the city...

  • It's a nice place, definitely some up and coming areas. I agree with the other comment, similar to Ilkley but property prices slightly less. Much nicer than some areas of outer Leeds/Bradford. LOTS of greenery in the area, the Chevin foremost but its basically surrounded by farm land etc. perfect for dog walkling and such like. Perfect for those wanting to live in the country but commute to the city. Nice shops, pubs etc. generally a nice place.

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.
